Tide planner
Choose a dive site and a date — up to about 2 years ahead — to see the expected high/low tide times and the recommended dive window, based on official astronomical forecasts from Rijkswaterstaat. Curious how this works? Read the guide to tides and currents.
Planning your dive around the tide
If you dive in the Oosterschelde or Westerschelde, you plan your dive around the tide. Twice a day the water flows in and out, and only around slack water — when the tide turns — is the current weak enough to dive safely. When slack water occurs differs per dive site.
The tide planner works that out for you. Choose a dive site and a date to see the expected high and low water times and the recommended dive window, based on Rijkswaterstaat's astronomical tide predictions. The Grevelingen and Veerse Meer have practically no tide: there you can in principle dive at any time.
